Raees Sifa Imdadi Khana, Madhubani, is committed to serving the community through a holistic development approach. The year 2022-2023 saw several initiatives focused on social awareness, empowerment, education, culture, environment, and healthcare. Each program was designed with a clear purpose, implemented with community participation, and evaluated for impact. The report below provides a comprehensive overview of the activities undertaken during the year.

Yoga for one Earth, One Health

A Yoga program has been organized by Raees Sifa Imadadikhana  on Yoga Day.

The “Green Yoga” program connects traditional practice with environmental consciousness, encouraging harmony between personal well-being and the planet’s health. It emphasizes a holistic lifestyle that is both physically beneficial and ecologically friendly. Participants are encouraged to use eco-friendly yoga gear and, whenever possible, practice in natural settings like parks or gardens to deepen their connection with the earth. The philosophy extends beyond the mat, aiming to inspire sustainable living choices in daily life. This approach uses physical postures (asanas) and breathing exercises (pranayama) to foster mindfulness and a sense of responsibility toward the environment. The program aligns with global initiatives, such as the International Yoga Day’s theme of “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”. By reducing stress and improving overall health, it empowers individuals to contribute positively to their communities and the world. Ultimately, Green Yoga is a pathway to discovering a sense of unity with nature, promoting peace, and adopting a balanced, eco-conscious existence for everyone.

Environmental Awareness Programme

Recognizing the urgency of environmental protection, the Trust launched awareness drives in schools and villages. Activities included tree plantation, waste segregation training, cleanliness campaigns, and seminars on climate change. Over 500 saplings were planted in public spaces, with communities pledging to nurture them. Workshops were conducted on renewable energy, water conservation, and plastic waste reduction.

Old Age Care Programme

Respecting elders is a social responsibility. The Trust organized health check-up camps for senior citizens, providing medical consultations and free medicines. Recreational programmes like storytelling, folk singing, and cultural evenings brought joy to their lives. Counselling sessions addressed loneliness, neglect, and emotional well-being. Volunteers regularly visited old age homes, offering companionship and support. The initiative reminded society of the invaluable wisdom and contribution of the elderly. Future plans include setting up a dedicated senior citizen day-care center.
